Let us craft your custom itinerary for Germany

Germany is an amazing country with a long and storied history — but planning a trip here can be surprisingly complex. Choosing between the modern, hipster energy of Berlin and Munich versus the fairy-tale charm of Rhineland and Bavarian villages, deciding how much time to spend in cities versus the countryside, finding memorable boutique hotels, and balancing famous landmarks with authentic local experiences (like a proper stein of Kolsch in a real beer hall) can quickly become overwhelming. We estimate that planning a 10-day Germany trip yourself, with the level of detail and organization Euro Travel Coach provides, takes about 80 hours — from guidebook research to emailing accommodations and guides to double-checking every detail.

That's where we come in. Euro Travel Coach creates fully customized, day-by-day Germany itineraries that save you dozens of hours of research while delivering a vacation tailored entirely to your interests. We listen carefully to your hopes and desires for the trip, then build the German vacation of your dreams.

How much does a custom Germany itinerary cost?

Euro Travel Coach creates fully custom Germany itineraries with transparent, flat per-day planning fees. Recommendations are made based on your preferences, not on our ability to get commissions. Pricing starts at $250/day (Ruby tier, essential planning) and goes up to $400+/day (Diamond tier, full-service VIP), for trips of 10 days or more. A typical 10-day custom Germany trip runs roughly $2,500 to $4,000+ in planning fees depending on service level, on top of your accommodations, activities, and transportation. Prefer lighter-touch help instead of a full itinerary? Hourly Travel Coaching is available at $250/hour. See our full Services and Fees breakdown for a detailed comparison of all four service tiers. We had a wonderful time!  It is such a joy to travel with all the work you out into it behind the scenes.  Every meal was fabulous, suggested towns to visit were exactly the pace and vibe we wanted, and all the accommodations were perfect! The app with all the loaded information is so helpful to refer to for every flight, car rental and activities.

We have enjoyed 2 trips with your services and can’t imagine traveling Europe any other way!

Diamond Itinerary in Germany - Melanie T, repeat client

This Viking Cruise and Euro Travel Coach custom itinerary in Berlin was really great.  We met so many fun and caring people including 6 young men from Estonia in Prague for a bachelor weekend! Nick was a fabulous guide and really worked hard at improvising to give us a super tour of Berlin when the train couldn't take us to Brandenburg.  I would highly recommend him for any other occasion when you have a need for a guide in and around Berlin.

The real "icing" on the cake was when we attended the big Protestant Church in Berlin and I got to hear the magnificent pipe organ.  I sang all the hymns, some in German and some in English.  That afternoon we went back to the Brandenburg Gate area and I attended a mass in a big Roman Catholic Cathedral and got to hear that organ.  Next to the cathedral was a big open area where Hitler had burned 25,000 volumes of books.  On this very Sunday, a large book fair was being held on the very spot of the book burning.  For me, that one day was a definite highlight.  Thank you to the Euro Travel Coach team for helping to make this trip possible!

Germany FAQ's

Is it worth paying someone to plan a trip to Germany instead of doing it myself? For most travelers, yes. Euro Travel Coach estimates that planning a well-organized 10-day Germany trip yourself — researching online, emailing hotels and guides, comparing routes, and double-checking logistics — takes about 80 hours. Euro Travel Coach's custom itinerary service replaces that research time with a personalized, day-by-day plan built by Germany travel specialists, for a flat planning fee starting at $250 per travel day.

How much does it cost to have Euro Travel Coach plan a trip to Germany? Euro Travel Coach charges a flat, per-day planning fee. Recommendations are based solely on your preferences and what you will enjoy most, not on commissions or trip markups. Pricing ranges from $250/day (Ruby tier) to $400+/day (Diamond tier) for trips of 10 days or more. A typical 10-day custom Germany itinerary costs roughly $2,500–$4,000+ in planning fees, separate from accommodations, activities, and transportation. Travelers who want lighter-touch advice instead of a full itinerary can book Travel Coaching at $250/hour.

What's the difference between Euro Travel Coach's Ruby, Sapphire, and Diamond Germany itinerary tiers? Ruby ($250/day) is essential day-by-day itinerary planning — Euro Travel Coach books accommodations and the traveler books activities, transportation and restaurants with advice from the Euro Travel Coach team. Sapphire ($350/day) includes full booking: Euro Travel Coach makes the reservations for accommodations, restaurants, activities, and transportation. Diamond ($400+/day) is full-service VIP planning aimed at groups of 5 or more, trips with a quick turnaround, or itineraries with extra VIP arrangements.

Is Euro Travel Coach a traditional travel agent or a tour company? Neither. Euro Travel Coach is an independent custom-itinerary planning service — it does not sell packaged tours or make recommendations based on commissions from hotels, tours, or airlines. Instead, it builds a personalized, day-by-day Germany itinerary based on each traveler's interests, then either hands it off for the traveler to book everything but their lodging (Ruby tier) or books everything on the traveler's behalf (Sapphire/Diamond tiers). Euro Travel Coach also runs small-group guided tours in Europe for travelers who want a fully led trip instead.

Does Euro Travel Coach book flights, hotels, and restaurant reservations, or just create a plan? Euro Travel Coach does not book flights, but will offer recommendations. Other reservations depend on the service tier. At the Ruby tier, Euro Travel Coach creates the custom itinerary and books lodging and then the traveler makes all additional bookings with our advice. At the Sapphire and Diamond tiers, the Euro Travel Coach team makes all the reservations — accommodations, restaurants, activities, and transportation — on the traveler's behalf.

What regions of Germany does Euro Travel Coach plan trips for? Euro Travel Coach plans itineraries across Germany, including Berlin and Munich, as well as regions such as the Rhine and Mosel Valleys, the Black Forest, Bavaria and the Romantic Road, Saxony (Dresden), and Hamburg. Custom itineraries can combine multiple regions in a single trip.

How long does it take Euro Travel Coach to plan a Germany itinerary, and what's the process? After a traveler fills out an initial questionnaire and has a phone consultation with the Euro Travel Coach team, the team builds a full day-by-day itinerary, which the traveler reviews and can request edits on before it's finalized. The process is designed to replace the roughly 80 hours of research most travelers spend planning a comparable 10-day Germany trip on their own.

Is there a minimum trip length for a custom Germany itinerary? Yes. Euro Travel Coach plans Germany trips of 10 days or longer at its standard per-day rates. Shorter trips can still be planned but are billed at the 10-day minimum. Travelers planning a shorter Germany trip, or who want to plan it themselves with some expert input, can instead book hourly Travel Coaching at $250/hour.

Who is behind Euro Travel Coach, and what makes them qualified to plan Germany trips? Euro Travel Coach is led by Betsy Ball, who holds an MBA, a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, and a Wine & Spirits Education Trust Level 3 Certification, and Greg Ball, who spent 30 years leading student travel groups to Germany and other European destinations. Betsy previously led travel groups to Italy, Spain, and Ireland and is a graduate of the Travel Beyond the Obvious Destination Expert Course focused on Europe. Meet the full Euro Travel Coach team →

How do I start planning a Germany trip with Euro Travel Coach? The team follows up by email to schedule a phone consultation, then builds a custom day-by-day Germany itinerary based on that conversation.
