The tank ride my husband and our travel companion enjoyed was an added bonus. (This is a Russian tank, not American, for those of you with tank/World War II knowledge.) The guides that were selected by Betsy and the Euro Travel Coach team had so much personal knowledge of World War II! We came home with much more knowledge and understanding than when we got there. The Czech people love and appreciate what Americans did for them in their country, and it showed in all the memorials we visited.

“We had a wonderful time in Belgium and especially appreciate the way Euro Travel Coach budgeted our time. While we enjoyed Brussels we are glad we spent the majority of our time in Bruges and Ghent. Bruges and Ghent are both charming cities and we really enjoyed everything we experienced. I want to emphasize how perfect our B & B was for us in Bruges. Lynn was a terrific hostess and filled us with home made sweets left in our room each day. We loved our breakfasts on the outdoor patio next to the canal. So peaceful. Plus the location is ideal. 5 minute walk to the center square for tours, food and shopping. We walked everywhere. Thanks also for reserving dinners in advance; it was still crowded enough that we would not have been seated without reservations. We loved the Beer Walk. It was supposed to be a 3 hour tour. We went about 5 1/2 because we were matched with 7 German guys visiting from Cologne, We had so much fun (and beer) we went an extra 2 1/2 hours. The beer was great and while walking between the different beer halls, we learned a lot from our guide. The bike tour in Ghent was fun and we were able to see a lot of the city. “Euro Travel Coach was absolutely amazing at helping my friend and I design our perfect post grad college Europe Trip. Obviously traveling alone as two girls while trying to travel across Europe for 6 weeks can be a daunting task and Betsy, Chelsea, and Greg made it super easy to be extremely comfortable while traveling throughout Europe on our own. They helped us create an absolutely perfect itinerary for the 5 weeks we were traveling throughout Europe on our own. They were extremely thoughtful of what our budget looked like and what our needs and specific wants were on the trip. Typically we liked having lots of free time aside from hitting all of the major touristy spots that you have to go to in each country and we loved how she was able to purchase all of the tickets we wanted to all of the museums and shows we wanted to attend and that we had access to any and all of them through the app. We also loved that she curated suggestions of restaurants and cafes we could go to in each city we visited and that for the restaurants we absolutely wanted to go to she was able to secure a reservation. All of the extra details added in through the app on each of our activities about estimated transit times via train or cab to get to certain locations were extremely helpful in making sure we didn’t miss timed entrances on any of our tickets. All of the hotels that we stayed in were located in all great areas and for were absolutely adorable, as we had told her we preferred to stay in boutique hotels.



All in all, we had an absolutely incredible trip and I know that we would not have been able to accomplish everything we did and all the places we went to without the help of Betsy, Chelsea, and Greg. The app is also absolutely incredible and invaluable as it was always on hand and had all the information we needed and then some! The app even notified me before one of the airlines we were flying that our flight had been cancelled (this was around 11 PM which would be around 5PM end of business day in the states) and without which we would have had to fly back to the US a full day late. Thankfully because of the app though we were able to hop on a later flight on the same day we had planned to leave!

“Euro Travel Coach was fantastic in helping us plan a trip to London, Paris, and Amsterdam. Their advice was invaluable and particularly important as we were traveling with our older children (18 and 20) who have special needs; our older child is on the (autism) spectrum and our younger one has severe food allergies. Betsy and Chelsea spoke with us about creating an itinerary that was specific to their interests and needs. For example, my daughter is an avid collector of toy collectibles and had no desire to do traditional “tours”. My son wanted to be able to dine comfortably, where restaurants were familiar with his allergens and could prepare something both delicious and safe. What Betsy and Chelsea created for us was an amazing itinerary that covered everything we all wanted to see and do (bike tour in Amsterdam, Eiffel Tower/Louvre/Musee D’Orsay visits, Hamilton and Wicked in the West End), with ample downtime for my kids to explore on their own. They saved us so much time and effort (can you imagine calling every restaurant ahead of time to check for allergies? Well, that’s what Chelsea, Betsy, and Greg did!). We dined at (allergy-safe!) Michelin-starred restaurants with special menus just for my son, took an urban art and food tour in London, and visited some really unique toy/collectible stores! Our recommended accommodations were just beautiful, with impeccable service. My son had his first taste of champagne in Paris! And when a Michelin-star chef peeks out of his kitchen window to speak to you personally about your meal, you know you are experiencing something special!

Itineraries were laid out for each day, with accompanying pdfs for tickets, transport, etc. conveniently located in a “documents” section. It was easy to peruse the schedule and let everyone know where we needed to be and when. This was particularly helpful for my daughter.

Working with Betsy, Chelsea, and Greg felt more like speaking with dear friends helping plan a trip for us. They asked just the right questions and know so much about the cities. During our trip (while they were on their own vacation!), each of them reached out to check on us and update us on activities and train schedules. They were like our travel guardian angels! Joel Reid, a tour guide recommended by Rick Steves, said Chelsea was one of the nicest, most professional people you will ever meet and he’s 100% correct (well, Greg and Betsy are wonderful too)!

“We returned recently from an amazing three week trip to France and London planned by the Euro Travel Coach (ETC) team of Betsy, Greg and Chelsea. We had planned a less extensive trip on our own to Paris and London in early 2020 and COVID 19 hit, delaying our trip for two years. When we got around to planning a trip after the panic of COVID had subsided I had read about ETC and gave Betsy a call. I am so glad that I did. I detailed all the things that we wanted to do, including many “bucket list” items and ETC did the rest. They planned an extremely detailed itinerary from Paris, through Normandy, to the Loire Valley and finally to London. “A trip of a lifetime! My 50th bday Tuscan Girls getaway took three years to come to life due to a global pandemic! “My family just returned from three weeks in France planned by Euro Travel Coach. The whole experience was pure magic. Betsy, Chelsea and Greg planned an amazingly detailed itinerary from Paris, through Normandy, to the Loire Valley, Bordeaux, Provence, and finally to the French Riviera. They took care of everything: lodging, train tickets, rental cars, dinner reservations, and even parking recommendations! I’ve planned many international trips over the years, and I know how unbelievably time-consuming the process can be. They took care of it all!

I was most impressed by how they “got” our particular quirky style of travel. We wanted a very outdoors-focused trip, with lots of hiking and other activities that aren’t part of the typical France vacation script. On top of that, we had a four-year-old in tow! “So how does one plan a trip to Italy? My husband and I had always dreamt of traveling to
Europe but time restraints and the overwhelming task of choosing what things to see and what
things to skip was just too daunting. Enter Euro Travel Coach.

We have had the good fortune of knowing Greg and Betsy for over 20 years and therefor knew
we could trust them completely. Their passion for travel and exploring is infectious and their
level of knowledge of Italy and travel is beyond anything I can ever hope to achieve.

We met with Greg and Betsy over zoom where they asked lots of questions and got a feel for
what kind of trip we were visualizing. When Betsy emailed the first rough draft itinerary of our
10 day trip, I stated that she had me with the words, “We will pick you up in Florence”.
From the moment we landed in Florence until they dropped us off 10 days later at the Milan
airport, we experienced Italy at a level I could never imagined. Yes, we saw beautiful art and
architecture. We ate amazing food, drank even more amazing wine, the cheese, the pastas oh
my!, hiked through olive tree orchards and along the coast. We ate gelato and drank Campari
Spritz’s every day. We saw the rolling hills of Tuscany with the poppy’s in full bloom. But more
memorable than all of that was how we felt. It was as if we were visiting friends. We did not feel
like tourist. We experienced what I can only describe as the essence of Italy; the idea that
everything should be beautiful and meant to be enjoyed in the moment, Tranquil (Betsy used a
beautiful Italian word).

ETC made reservations and purchased tickets so that each day we had specific things to see
but also allowed time to just explore with no stress. We could have spent months planning and
researching and still never achieved what they created for us. They know the people, the food,
the wine, the region, the language. They know how to find the nearest post office, how to order
from an Italian menu, how to take a train, rent a car, drive through Florence and the country
side. They KNOW Italy. I realize many people love the research and planning but for our first
time to Europe/Italy, ETC was a perfect option for us.

And even though Chelsea wasn’t physically with us, her exceptional taste in food and wine was
felt. The cheese and cured meats obtained from a local butcher was a highlight. It was obvious
that Greg and Betsy have well established friendships and connections with multiple owner’s of
B&B’s, restaurants and wineries throughout Italy. It was easy to feel safe with traveling and
confident of our purchases including several cases of wine we had shipped home.
It was a trip of a lifetime and we have Euro Travel Coach to thank. We cannot wait for our next

Fernanda Giamello of Langhetnico was a delightful instructor with a great sense of humour and ability to engage everyone - even the non-cooks! We had lots of fun learning how to make many traditional dishes, including pasta and stuffed zucchini flowers and happily enjoyed the fruits of our labour afterwards. These are only two examples of the interesting local people we met and unique activities we experienced thanks to Betsy, Greg and Chelsea who made all the arrangements.

“The bed and breakfast couldn’t have been more charming. The central location provided an excellent launching point for our adventures into the city. The small B&B is just a dozen and a half rooms at most, but wonderfully appointed and modern. The B&B was recommended by Euro Travel Coach, our wonderful trip planners, and we couldn’t have been happier.

A short walk from Rialto market was Osteria all Ciurma. Literally, we ducked off the main thoroughfare onto a side street, and go from bustling tourist to quiet locals. Great little spot with two tables and a standup ledge. We grabbed a couple of glasses of wine and sampled a variety of crostini and mini sandwiches. That evening we had made reservations at Osteria Alle Testiere, one of Euro Travel Coach’s recommended restaurants. Again, we were glad we booked our reservation weeks in advance, because this intimate little spot only had about 10 tables. After the previous night’s meal, it seemed a tall order to best the meal from the night before. What followed was another meal that ranked in the all-time best.

“A friend and I went to England and Ireland over spring break of 2015. Neither of us had ever been out of the US before and were a tad nervous. “I highly recommend using the services of Euro Travel Coach for your next vacation. During spring break a friend and I decided to travel abroad. This was the first time I had traveled abroad and am so glad Betsy was available to help with the entire trip. She was wonderful! She began by asking us many questions: what are our likes, what did we want to see, what type of food we enjoyed, but the most important part was our budget. Euro Travel Coach was able to find everything we wanted within our budget. They helped with everything from airfare, hotel accommodations, restaurants, and excursions.

“My wife and I had an amazing time on the trip planned by Euro Travel Coach. We felt taken care of from the minute we stepped off of the van, and that feeling continued throughout the whole week. “If it were possible to award more than 5 stars, I would! This trip was absolutely incredible. We, along with four other couples, were part of the small group tour to Tuscany in March, 2019. Quite simply, Greg, Betsy, and Chelsea (Euro Travel Coach) provided us with an amazing experience. It began with our accommodations, a charming 17th-century villa, which maintained its old-fashioned charm while providing all the modern amenities one could desire, including en suite bathrooms. But as beautiful as that was, it was the particular and individual care that we were given that made the tour so special. Every day was an adventure, from hiking to the thermal springs at Bagno Vignoni, to touring the ancient towns of Assisi, Orvieto and Sienna, to private wine tastings at a winery, to visiting an organic sheep farm outside of Pienza. In every case, the Balls went out of their way to make sure we were given a pure taste of Tuscany. Additionally, Betsy went out of her way for me personally, making last minute spa appointments and tour reservations for Florence. And then there was Greg, who after a long day of touring, offered to take my husband and me back to the tiny, beautiful hill town of Monticchiello so we could see it in daylight, before we went to dinner. It was that kind of thoughtfulness that made our trip incomparable. And that isn’t even mentioning all the glorious food and wine we drank! Chelsea outdid herself on the meal she prepared for us! Then, of course, there was the cooking class that was hilarious! If you have any desire to travel to Italy, and Tuscany especially, I recommend doing it with the Euro Travel Coach. They are first class people who provide a truly first class experience.”

“So, have you been to Europe? Planning a trip but don’t know where to start? Can you imagine what it would be like to live, eat, and drink like an Italian? Well, this is how you get it done. Betsy, Greg, and Chelsea can either plan your trip or, as they did in our case, put a small group together for an amazing week’s foray into Tuscany. We stayed with an amazing group of people in a farmhouse chalet. Events, sightseeing, wine tasting, and meals were prepared for us daily and, most importantly, there was no thinking necessary. We were simply subjected to exemplary service and a great time.

We travel a lot. We absolutely abhor bus tours and tourist stuff. This is the antithesis. Every single meal is handcrafted. Every single moment has been thought through to give you the greatest access to the beauty and culture of Tuscany. From the eggs in the morning to an Italian feast in the evening, from personally guided tours in small venues that dig deep in Italian lore, to sitting around sipping the finest local Italian wine and prosecco while admiring the beauty of the Tuscan countryside. The trip that we took was perfectly curated by Euro Travel Coach with a little bit of everything. They even found me the best gluten-free pasta on the planet (of course it must be Italian).

That’s the trip part. The other piece that needs to be said is that these folks are first-class people. They cared for us like family, always had a smile on their face and busted their tails to make the trip whatever we wanted it to be.

“Euro Travel Coach is the best! They had planned a marvelous itinerary from a central beautiful agriturismo villa (owned by kind and sweet people with a most-excellent dog). We were introduced to the beautiful historic hill cities of the Tuscany area of Italy. It included hiking, guides for some of the most important cathedrals, discretionary time in the cities (so we could walk all over the city, or hang out sipping Aperol spritzes with the locals, or anything in between). Our hosts were flexible, and when we had a rainy day, we conferred and switched to another plan. The winery tours–and oh! the wine!–were excellent. I was so happy to find one winery’s wine in TX – something our hosts had intended! They were extremely careful with the food for my gluten-intolerant husband, and his food options were tasty. I have even tried a couple of recipes since we returned home. Our traveling companions were a blast! From the first welcoming glass of prosecco, the smiling faces, and delicious food, to the last hugs and suggestions for more fun, it was A+! Kudos, y’all! We are looking forward to Piedmont!”
